Morocco from north to south, private 10-day tour

On this 10-day trip we will visit the most emblematic places of Morocco as well as Chef Chaouen (the blue city), Fez and Marrakech, the two imperial cities of Morocco.

During this circuit, we will have the opportunity to see the contrasts that Morocco hides in our visit to Essaouira beach or a desert excursion both in dromedary and quad.

Day 1: Tangier – Tetouan – Chef Chauen

Arrival at the port / airport of Tangier and pick up by our staff. Departure to Chefchaouen and if time permits, stop in the Spanish city of Tetouan.

Arrival in Chefchaouen, transfer to your hotel and free time through its streets, its old blue and white houses and its panoramic views.

Day 2: Chaouen – Roman Ruin – Meknez – Fez

We leave for Fez, where we will skirt the Rif forest until we reach the Roman ruins of the city of Volubilis. We will visit the ruins with an “optional” local guide and then continue to Meknés, a city that reached its apogee thanks to the Sultan Mulay Ismail. Visit its mausoleum and the famous Bab Mansour gate.

After the visit we will go to our destination, Fez. Arrival in Fez and free time.

Day 3: Fez – Fez

After breakfast, guided tour of the city. Entire day devoted to the discovery of the intellectual city of the kingdom. Numerous are the monuments that you can visit: Medersas (Koranic schools), Chahrij, Bouinania Attarin, Souks, Fes El-Jedid, the Karaouine Mosque (first university in the world).

Day 4: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Monkey Forest – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert

From Fez we will go to the Middle Atlas stopping in Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Africa.

The next town will be Azrou passing through the national park known for its cedars where the famous monkeys of the area are located. Then we will cross the Ziz Valley that will lead us to Erfoud, known for its fossils.

Arrival in the desert where we change the 4×4 for dromedaries, with which we will take a pleasant two-hour walk through the dunes until we reach the haimas camp, in the heart of the desert where they will receive us, according to the Sahara tradition, with a Berber tea.

Day 5: Desert – Nomadic visit – Black people – Erg Chebbi desert

We will see the sunrise over a sea of ​​dunes. After breakfast we will return to Merzouga in dromedary and after a shower we will visit Khamlia, the so-called village of “the blacks”, named because their inhabitants are descendants of the former slave trade that came from the Sudan. They are excellent musicians and have made this art their way of life. With them we will enjoy a small gnawa music concert. We will return to the 4×4 to tour one of the tracks they used in the «Paris-Dakar Rally», visiting the Khol mines and the remains of a French and Berber village. We will make a panoramic stop to contemplate the sand desert that includes the Erg Chebbi as a whole.

We will visit some desert nomads in the process of sedentary lifestyle with whom we can have tea and get to know their way of life better.

Return to the hotel. Afternoon free and night in the desert hotel.

Day 6: Merzouga Dunes – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate

After breakfast, we will return on camels to the hotel where we will shower and then start our fourth day of traveling through Morocco. We will go to Rissani, known for one of the most authentic markets in southern Morocco and little frequented by tourists, where we can find even a parking lot of donkeys and nomads who come to stock up. After this visit, we will go to the Todra Gorges, famous for its towering walls where climbers from all over the world come. We visit the gorges and continue our tour to the Dades Valley and then connect with the Valley of Roses and the Valley of the Thousand Kasbahs. We will discover the Kasbahs that are in the middle of this valley and then we will go to Ouarzazate, also the Hollywood of Morocco.

Return to the hotel. Afternoon free and night in the desert hotel.

Day 7: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

After breakfast, we will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and after 25 km of road we will visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, famous for being the scene of cinematographic blockbusters such as the Oscar-winning “Lawrence of Arabia”, “The Heaven Protector” or “Babel.”

We will follow the road that, crossing the port of Tichka will lead us back to the “Red City”: Marrakech.

Upon arrival they will leave us at the hotel. Afternoon free and night in a charming riad.

Day 8: Marrakech

After breakfast, we will take a guided tour of the city. Numerous are the monuments that you can visit: Ben Youssef Madrasa, Bahia Palace, Yamaa el Fna Square, Saadian tombs, souks and the Koutoubia mosque. Afternoon free and night in a charming riad.

Day 9: Marrakech – Essaouira

After breakfast, our private transport will pick us up at the agreed place and we will start our trip to the Atlantic coast, bound for Essaouira, the old Mogador. Along the way we will cross huge forests of Argan, where the precious Argan oil is extracted and we can see its elaboration in one of the cooperatives that exist. This town was an old Portuguese citadel and behind its walls, hide many picturesque corners full of history, which you can begin to discover yourself, just arrive.

Free day by Essaouira. You can choose from a wide and varied sample of activities offered on the city’s beaches. There is the possibility of touring the beach on horseback, in dromedary, quad or if you like to walk, make an extensive walk along the Atlantic. Reach your coastal dunes or sunbathe. It also offers a wide range of water sports such as kite surfing, wind surfing or surfing, jet skis, etc …

If you choose to walk the streets of the medina, you will find numerous shops, artisans and artists who offer their works at a good price. Famous also for its fishing port, you can taste the excellent fish and seafood that is extracted from its coasts.

Day 10: Essaouira – Marrakech Airport

Marrakech-Essaouira Day 10: Essaouira-Marrakech Airport. Free day and at the agreed time, transfer to Marrakech airport.

It includes:
